Business Taxes/Licenses

Wabamun does not levy business taxes on premises occupied by business nor are business licenses required by local businesses.

Wabamun is open for business! Our Village's prime lakeside location, just south of Highway 16, makes it the ideal place to set up and grow your business. Hawkers & Pedlars Licence

Definition: Any person who goes house to house selling or offering for sale any merchandise or service, or both, to any person and who is not a licensed wholesale or retailer in the municipality and not having a licensed permanent place of business in the municipality.

Requirement for License: No person shall, within the Village, carry on or operate any business as a hawker or pedlar unless he holds a valid and subsisting license to conduct such business.

Cost:

Non-resident, adult person, the sum of $25.00 per day or $200.00 per year.

Resident, adult person, the sum of $25.00 per year.
